There are tons of ways to get active in your community and make a difference. As someone wise once said, the one
good thing about everything being so fucked up is that everywhere you look there's great work to be done.
In this section we will try to bring you info on a variety of ongoing efforts that you can get involved in.
We hope there will be something for everyone, but if you can't find something that would interest you, then
why not start something yourself?

---T.R.E.A.T.Y. Total Immersion School---
At Porcupine, South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Sioux (Lakota) Reservation a Total Immersion School is being
created. The Reservation is located in Shannon County, the poorest county in the United States. Please consider
donating your time if you possess any of the skills listed in the How to Help section. The project is also
in need of funding. Assisting in this project is without a doubt the single greatest thing you can do to save
the Lakota culture from disappearing completely forever. Lakota children need a Lakota school, so that
the language, culture and traditions of the great Lakota nation are not lost to the world forever.
---Black Mesa Indigenous Support---
Black Mesa Indigenous Support (BMIS) is a grassroots, all volunteer run collective dedicated to
working with and supporting the indigenous peoples of Black Mesa in their Struggle for Life and
Land who are targeted by & resisting unjust large-scale coal mining operations and forced relocation
policies of the US government.
---Food Not Bombs---
Food Not Bombs is an autonomous, decentralized organization with chapters in cities across the world. The
group collects and cooks food (usually vegetarian) and serves it free to the public in public commons areas.
The organization is one of the few to provide this kind of service free of religious or governmental affiliation.
---Copwatch Database---
Go here to file a complaint against a police officer with an organization other than the police department.
---Corpwatch - Holding Corporations Responsible---
Mission: to expose multinational corporations that profit from war, fraud, environmental, human rights and
other abuses, and to provide critical information to foster a more informed public and an effective democracy.
---Buffalo Field Campaign---
West Yellowstone, Montana
Working in the field every day to stop the slaughter of Yellowstone's wild free roaming buffalo.
---Mountain Justice Summer---
Mountain Justice Summer is a call to action and a request for help from the people of the Appalachia
mountains for help in saving our mountains, streams and forest from greedy coal companies.
---Primate Freedom Project---
The Primate Freedom Project is dedicated to ending the imprisonment and torture of primates used for "scientific"
experiments. In the US alone over 60,000 primates are imprisoned and tortured for corporate profit every year; many
of them to death. The Primate Freedom Project accepts grant applications from people who are seriously interested in
helping bring an end to this "modern holocaust." The group also provides specific information; names, addresses,
personal contact information of the guilty parties and encourages the public to intervene on behalf of the victims.
